Sourcing Story

Where this material came from and how we verified it.

📍 Origin

Greenville, MS

Reclaimed from a 1922 cotton-processing mill in Greenville, Mississippi — a building that stood for 100+ years before demolition in 2021. The heart pine was original to the structure: dense, slow-grown, and full of resin that makes modern pine look soft by comparison.

⚖️ Diversion Impact

~18 lbs

diverted from landfill per sq ft.

✅ Quality Checks

  • Moisture content verified 6–8% (kiln re-dried where needed)
  • Structural grading — no through-checks or rot pockets
  • Denailed and metal-detected before milling
  • Face and back sanded to consistent 3/4" thickness
